Our client is a pioneer in the Canadian solar industry, with a dedication in driving sustainability, innovation, and community growth.
They’re looking for an Electrician who will be responsible for connecting solar systems and completing both residential and commercial electrical/service work.
This position is based out of their Moncton location, with daily travel throughout the Moncton area.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, lay-out, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in buildings and other structures
- Work with the installation team, the local utility companies and inspectors to ensure that the installation meets or exceeds all standards and expectations
- Install and terminate conduit wire, cable, equipment, panels, sensors and various control components and monitoring devices
- Complete panel swaps
- Provide service upgrades
- Install EV chargers
- Avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, not in compliance with specifications and electrical codes
- Activate, test and troubleshoot systems to ensure optimal operation and performance
- Provide input into system design, installation and coordination, and take part of the initial handover to plan the job from the onset
- Work in a manner that minimizes waste, ensures adequate inventory of consumables, maintains a tidy work area, and ensures equipment is in good working order
- Complete site inspections as needed
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Electrician Certification required
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driver's abstract
- Residential electrical experience and capable of performing roof inspections of installed equipment
- Strong familiarity with the electrical code and best practices
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Solar experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess a good attitude and a willingness to learn and get better every day
