Partnered exclusively with an established insurance broker with over 25 years of experience specializing in leisure & lifestyle insurance, we are recruiting for an entrepreneurial minded insurance professional to who’s interested in a ground up opportunity.

    With an establish business and formula for success, our client has been providing customize insurance solutions in the leisure market in the UK. As they continue to grow, a unique opportunity exists for an experience Insurance Advisor/Branch Manager, to build their first Canadian operation in Vancouver. Initially specializing in providing tailor-made insurance policies for Manufactured Homes, like their sister company in the UK, they see future growth to include recreational vehicles, park homes, holiday lodges and many more leisure/lifestyle risks. We are looking for a dynamic insurance provider, who is driven to succeed and interested in building an exciting business from the ground up. Someone with a strategic vision, who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the job done, and to provide stable leadership to grow this business. 

    Responsibilities:
    • Achieve targets within the sales and marketing plans
    • Conduct monthly sales/production meetings and performance meetings with team members
    • Provide guidance and support to sales agents to ensure they attain expected targets
    • Develop and deliver a sales and marketing plan for their branch
    • Prepare sales and expense budgets with an emphasis on growth and profitability
    • Handle member/client concerns effectively or accelerating to executive level as required
    • Handle branch administration including operational support for agency staff
    • Hire, develop, coach and mentor agents and staff
    • Demonstrate leadership abilities and effectively manage changing priorities
    • Collaborate with other directors to attain standards and operational levels
    Business Development:
    • Set up all processes and procedures within the company
    • Execute on annual business plan to exceed targets and maximize every opportunity for growth 
    • New business after initial set up
    • Company growth
    • Client experience
    • Introduction of new lines of business
    • Identify current and prospective opportunities to obtain new clients within British Columbia
    • Attend trade shows
    Operational:
    • Manage day to day operational aspects of the company including:
    • Corporate branding
    • Profit & Loss statements
    • Weekly/Monthly reporting 
    • Liaise closely with directors daily 

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 5 years of insurance industry experience
    • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business preferred
    • Previous people management/leadership experience
    • Insurance broker level 2 license 
    • CAIB, CIP are an asset
    • Excellent communications and presentation skills
    • Proven results in developing and leading a team
    • A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
    • Demonstrated business acumen
