    Our client is a global leader in the industrial manufacturing and distribution setting. This high-profile company is looking for a dynamic individual to become the new Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager of their Vancouver plant. 

    As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating cross-departmentally to ensure that safety behaviors align with company policies, programs, and procedures.  You will be the center of expertise for all Safety related matters, and continuously contributing towards a strong safety culture within the workplace. Vital to this role is maintaining and governmental compliance in accordance with WorkSafe BC regulations.


    • Creation and revision of Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Forms
    • Agenda and minutes of the Safety/Management Meetings
    • Investigation Reports for Accidents/Incidents
    • Work within a continuous improvement setting to improve processes and create a more safety conscious setting
    • Maintain all documentation for WorksafeBC claim and Safe and Early Return to Work Program
    • Preparing Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Safety Review Reports.
    • Safety Supplies – maintaining stock, ordering, research for needed or newer items
    • Initiation of Incident and Hazard Reports into database and assigning JHSC investigators
    • Schedule and Conduct Emergency Drills 
    • Supervision of the Health and Safety Department 


    • Must have minimum 3+ years of experience in a HSE specific position from an industrial/operation/manufacturing setting – direct HSE Management experience is not required, but highly preferred
    • Must have working experience with WorkSafeBC – 2 to 3 years minimum 
    • Post-Secondary Education is required. Preference to direct Health, Safety, Environmental programs, or Engineering Degrees
    • A designation, or working towards a safety designation(s) is a important
    • Knowledge of safety legislation and management systems 
    • Experience using MS office, and WMS/ERP systems – computer savvy
    • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma practices…training and certificates in this area is highly preferred but not mandatory
    • Comfortable communicating across multiple departments and all levels of employees and leadership
