  • Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company in the GTA that is on a mission to progress and identify unmet needs in the pharmaceutical space, through being engaged in the manufacturing, marketing, import, and export of pharmaceuticals. They are currently looking for a Medical Science Liaison to join their stellar team in Toronto, ON.

    This position will serve in the territory of Northeast Ontario and the Manitoba province, and report to the Associate Director, Medical Science Liaisons.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the successful implementation of regional field-based medical/scientific tactics of therapeutic areas.
    • Lead the development and implementation of a Stakeholder Engagement Plan that addresses the medical needs of stakeholders.
    • Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders.
    • Investigates and understands medical landscape within the region and implement a MSL Regional Plan to address existing or future scientific gaps.
    • Identify and understand site research capabilities within assigned region.
    • Interpreting, applying and communicating stakeholder insights from regular field interactions to shape the medical strategy.
    • Presenting scientific data in various venues including as requested by various stakeholders including physicians, pharmacists, and formulary committees.
    • Maintains advanced scientific expertise and understanding of the relevant Therapeutic Area diseases.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Ph.D., Pharm.D., MD, M.Sc. in a healthcare or scientific discipline.
    • High level of scientific expertise with a proven ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex clinical data.
    • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Knowledge and adherence to local regulatory agency (Health Canada) policies, the Innovative Medicines Code of Ethical Practices and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) guidelines.
    • Able to manage a frequent travel schedule, with up to 40% overnight travel.
    • Prior MSL and/or Canadian Pharmaceutical Industry Medical Affairs Experience.
    • Knowledge or experience working with Oncology.
