Operation Manager – Wholesale Distribution

Our client is one of Canada’s leading wholesale distribution companies that support, and targets the construction, trades, and mechanical sectors. With decades of success in their market, they pride themselves in producing exceptional service, while always putting their customers first. They have asked Cameron Lappin of Lock Search Group to assist in their search to find a highly dedicated Operation Manager to join their team in the Lower Mainland.
As the Operation Manager, you will develop and lead the warehousing operations of the branch. You will be responsible for hiring, training, and developing employees to create a high performing operations team, while developing, and implementing appropriate strategies to improve productivity, identifying performance gaps with the goal of driving sales growth and increase market share for the business unit. Other key responsibilities include budget/expense control, health and safety compliance, and the resolution of any customer concerns.
- Proven warehousing and operations experience in a fast-paced customer interaction environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Track record of success in branch operations…in addition, managing a diverse team of administrative employees and warehousing team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Analytical and critical thinker
- Comfortable in an independent, decentralized work setting – excited about entrepreneurship, and building your own business
