  • Our client is a global leading supplier of packaging solutions for a wide variety of healthcare, life science, and food products. They employ over 6000 people globally and are looking for a Product Market Manager to join their team in Canada. 

    The Product Market Manager will be responsible for all pre-sales activities in regards to processing, slicing, chamber machines and flow wrappers, and post-sales activities in relation to project implementation. This role will require travel up to 50% of the time with normal business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, however – schedule should be flexible to accommodate customers schedules. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Understanding and promotion of company capability for line integration
    • Meet project timelines
    • Organization, execution and support of portfolio trials
    • Develop customer specifications and requirements
    • Push sales efforts 
    • Timely completion of portfolio specifications and quotations. Coordination of 3rd party equipment as required
    • Collaboration with management to ensure resources are estimated and allocated to projects accordingly
    • Attendance in product specialist meetings
    • Collaboration with internal departments 
    • Achieve portfolio budgets and targets
    • Provide training on new application development
    • Ensure safety regulations and requirements are being communicated and followed 
    • Achievement of cost control, qualified execution, planning, time control, customer relations, reporting, and successful handovers to project teams
    • Work with Sales Teams to meet annual sales goals

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree from a four year college or university program
    • One to two years of sales experience
    • Five years of market experience required
    • Project management experience is an asset
    • Ability to read, interpret, write, analyze and communicate effectively
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentage, etc.) and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts
    • Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet software, Internet, Contact Management Systems and Database software
    • Ability to define problems and draw valid solutions 
    • Valid drivers license and clean background check to have the ability to travel as required
    This is an office based role, however due to the nature of the role, the candidate will be travelling to customer locations.
