    Our client, a rapidly growing plant-based foods company, has retained Dave Dureno of Lock Search group to support in their search for a Strategic Account Manager. As a Strategic Account Manager, you are key to the ongoing exponential growth of the company, and will be playing a vital role in driving forward the company mission. Your goal is to establish and foster partnerships with some of the largest Canadian Strategic Accounts. The individual in this role will manage relationships with Loblaws (all regions and banners), Shoppers Drug Mart, and Metro ON. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Spearhead the expansion of business at LCL, SDM, and Metro ON
    • Meet and exceed sales plans and goals, and ensure partnerships are in place that are in line with overall company planning
    • Utilize customer sales data to leverage a fact-based selling; focus on understanding key drivers, program ROIs, and develop a plan that will reach the financial goals of the company and our retail partners
    • Actively manage brokers and distributors to reach all sales & performance goals
    • Complete all monthly forecasting and trade reviews
    • Meet (& exceed) targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
    • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations
    • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
    • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary internal squad members
    • Work with region team to identify new sales and marketing opportunities 

    You Have:

    • 7+ years of key account management in Canada
    • Experience managing the LCL account for a major brand in the CPG industry
    • Natural Health Food experience considered an asset
    • Experience with Formal Joint Business Planning (JBP) partnerships considered an asset
    • Confection category experience considered an asset
    • Experience managing distributor and/or broker relationships
    • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Standout interpersonal and relationship building skills
    • Experience working remotely 
    • Very organized and detail oriented
