Are you an experienced Sales Professional looking for an exciting Business Development opportunity in Saskatoon? Jay Pinniger of Lock Search Group is pleased to present an opportunity to join a company in the Building Materials industry. Our client designs, manufactures, and delivers high quality engineered products for commercial and residential builders. They are seeking an Account Manager to be based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The Account Manager will be responsible for project execution and review, ensuring meticulous surveying of project details before submitting work for design and inspection prior to production release. You'll manage our engagement in new bid and tender opportunities, influencing project aspects like size, product quantity, start date, competition, and pricing. Efficient customer follow-up will be a priority, involving both internal collaboration and direct communication to maintain real-time order status. Closing job quotes, proposals, and work orders will also be part of your duties. Your role will encompass residential market research, active pursuit of new customers, and a dedication to client service.
Responsibilities:- Oversee involvement in new bid and tender prospects.
- Effectively arrange prompt and fitting follow-ups with customers and internal colleagues assisting in project tasks, ensuring real-time awareness of customer order status.
- Update status and finalize pending job quotes, proposals, and work orders.
- Exhibit competence in fostering strong connections with our existing customer base, coupled with the ambition to attract new customers and foster business growth.
- Cultivate relationships and partnerships with fellow sales team members and operations, paving the way for innovative business avenues.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of the residential market, while proactively pursuing new clientele.
- Display the ability to comprehend and interpret MiTek design drawings and placement plans.
- Engage in project execution and assessment; meticulously examine project particulars before submission for design and conduct pre-production inspections.
- Exert influence over factors like project size, product and unit quantity, project initiation, competitive landscape, and pricing.
- Demonstrate the capacity, enthusiasm, and drive to diligently follow up and provide exceptional service to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bring to the table over 4 years of progressive Sales experience, with a preference for a background in new home construction.
- Proficiency in construction and project management would be a valuable advantage.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of products and installation methods, encompassing EWP, floor and roof truss components, framing lumber, stairs, tall walls, and engineering services.
- Skillfully read and grasp intricate floor and roof layouts.
- Project confidence, independence, vitality, and self-motivation.
- Showcase effective organizational skills, adept multitasking, and the capability to meet deadlines.
- Offer familiarity with blueprint reading, engineered wood products, floor and roof truss components, stairs, framing lumber, tall walls, and/or engineering services.
- Demonstrate a complete working proficiency with Outlook and MS Word, with the ability to rapidly grasp industry-specific software.
- Background knowledge in construction and project management would be an added benefit.
