Associate Medical Director

  • Job Title:  Associate Medical Director
     
    Our client, a leading Pharmaceutical company specializing in Dermatology, is seeking an Associate Medical Director. You will serve as the country’s medical and scientific expert, while delivering medical activities and strategy, leadership, and engagement of colleagues and customers.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement the medical strategy for designated products
    • Ensure managed budget allocation
    • Directs the development of the strategic publication/communication plan in a given medical area and stays up to date on new data and developments 
    • Identifies, develops, and maintains relationships with Key External Experts
    • Trains external scientific advocates on content for medical and promotional events 
    • Serves as a clinical consultant providing clinical, technical and product knowledge assistance to existing and potential customers; builds and maintains solid customer relationships and provides customer training at all levels
    • Ensures the integrity of the scientific data used in all promotional claims and materials in accordance with legislative requirements 
    • Oversees standardization of publication planning and medical writing processes for country Medical Affairs
    • Provides onboarding and training needs to medical writers and other colleagues
    • Build and transition of respective medical training platforms by cost effective management and leading strategic initiatives by ensuring internal value creation.
    • Support Marketing/Commercial in developing the brand plan and ensure the integrity of the scientific data used in all promotional claims and materials.
    • Work with local and global teams on data evidence generation plans to support Global and local access to the market.
    • Supervise adequate medical support of pharmacovigilance activities 
    • Serves as a clinical consultant providing clinical, technical and product knowledge assistance to existing and potential customers
     
    Qualifications
    • Medical Degree (MD), Medical scientific PhD or another adequate Natural Science (PharmD) higher degree is required
    • Dermatology or Immunology expertise will be a significant plus.
    • 10+ years of related Medical Affairs and/or research and development experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices and/or CRO (contract research organization) industry
    • Expertise in relevant medical areas (prescription, aesthetic, or consumer care) in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
    • Experiences in driving Medical Affairs expertise related to products in different regulatory categories
    • Strong understanding of respective country Health Care system regulations, healthcare privacy laws and other regulatory guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
    • Related experience within relevant country-specific regulations and legal environment 
    • Strong budget planning & execution expertise
    • Knowledge of GCP practices and procedures
    • Demonstrates the ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals
    • Depth of knowledge and experience in clinical strategy development, trial methods and operations.
