  • We are proud to partner with our client to help them find a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in Ontario. 
    Founded in 1968 in Vancouver, British Columbia, our client has grown from a small, regional rubber manufacturer, to one of, if not the largest recycled rubber product manufacturer in the world. They own and operate recycling and manufacturing facilities in British Columbia, Ontario (3), Quebec, and Texas. In addition, the Company has multiple strategic manufacturing partnerships in Asia.
     
    Their products are designed for the following applications and markets: Animal, Athletic/Fitness, Home, Automotive, Farm & Ranch, Commercial, and Industrial. The Company goes to market through Retail, Commercial, and various Agricultural channels. With their true green tech success story, they convert more scrap tire rubber into value-added, manufactured products than any other company in the world. The company currently saves more than 20 million scrap tires annually from landfills and/or incineration. 
     
    Within the last four years, the Company has bought the largest tire recycler in Canada and built a highly advanced and automated manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. The time has come to add a Senior Commercial Leader to the Executive Team who will bring a disciplined and strategic approach to growing our business.
     
    Reporting to the CEO, the CCO will provide vision and strategy for all market-facing aspects of the business, and then lead the Sales and Marketing organization to execute that growth strategy.
      
    Responsibilities:
    • Profit and Loss responsibility (Contribution) for all Sales and Marketing Divisions.
    • Develop clear and concise Sales and Marketing Strategies.
    • Strategic leadership of the Sales and Marketing organizations, including (but not limited to):
      - Hiring, firing, and developing of all members of the team,
      - Establishing and managing annual budgets,
      - Identifying growth opportunities,
      - Championing new products and new market development,
      -Building relationships with key customers,
    • Ensuring that appropriate systems (i.e. CRM) are being utilized to manage the business.
    • Work alongside the COO and CFO, ensuring alignment across all areas of the organization.
    • Achieve the growth mandate, both top, and bottom line.
    • Within 6 months of start, formulate a clear and concise Market Strategy.
    • Develop appropriate organizational and incentive structures to enable the growth mandate.
    • Within 12 months of start, ensure that all key seats are filled with A players

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 10 years in a Sales role, having demonstrated the ability to grow revenues
    • Minimum of 5 years in a Senior Commercial Leadership role, having demonstrated:
      - Go-to-Market Strategy Development
      - Building and Leading Winning Teams
      - Motivating and Developing People
      - Developing effective compensation and incentive structures
      - Building collaborative relationships with the Senior Executives of key customers
      - Understanding of both Retail and Commercial customers
      - Technology Competency
      - Strong Presentation and Communication Skills
      - Strong Financial Literacy and attention to detail
      -Ability to manage people remotely    
    • Minimally, an undergraduate degree in Business. Ideally, an MBA. 
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time, if necessary.
    • Ideally has the capacity to be considered for succession for CEO within five years.
