The level of customer service a transportation firm provides is a predictive measure of their ability to improve your performance while helping to solve common issues. High-level customer service is fully integrated on our client’s standards. Our client, a 3PL provider serving clients across North America and around the world is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join their Surrey office.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be reporting to the Customer Service Manager. Your priorities will be Customer Experience, Shipment Management and Client Communication.
Responsibilities:
- Order Entry & Management
- Receive information from clients and enter orders
- Send order information to logistics for carrier assignment
- Trace shipments through to delivery
- Advise supervisor if anything goes awry on any shipment
- Send daily reporting to clients
- Ensure files are complete and accurate and get invoiced in a timely manner
- Carrier Communication
- Fax carriers load contracts on each load
- Follow up with carriers to ensure they are clear on what is required and can meet the requirements
- Report any carrier issues to your supervisor
- Ensure payables are complete and accurate on every file
- Client Support
- Work with clients on any issues regarding their transportation
- Team Support
- Work with other members of the Customer Service team as required
- Clean up existing zones and terminals
- Fuel Surcharge
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Good people and communication skills
- Organized
- Strong time management skills with the proven ability to multitask
- Strong work ethic and superior attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office & Strong computer skills
- College / University Diploma in a related field is an asset.
