Senior Market Access Manager, Oncology

  • We are currently searching for a Senior Market Access Manager, Oncology for our client. Reporting to the Market Access and Government Relations Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of reimbursement strategies and submissions for the company’s products. You will also be responsible for representing market access with multi-functional brand teams and with global internal stakeholders. This role is a head office-based position and potential candidates should reside in the Greater Toronto Area.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead the development and execution of integrated reimbursement strategies, core
    • pricing, and access deliverables incorporating business analytics and in-depth market
    • research, for both private and public payers, in collaboration with Director and market
    • access team. Provide strategic counsel and support for pCPA negotiation strategies.
    • Be a strategic partner with the commercial multi-functional brand teams, to ensure
    • market access strategies and tactics are aligned and integrated with sales, marketing
    • and medical strategies, including integrated advocacy plans. Ensure required
    • resources are secured to deliver market access objectives.
    • Provide Brand Teams, Life Cycle Management Teams and Business Development
    • colleagues with counsel and strategic advice on market access, and reimbursement
    • environment opportunities specific to the brand and competitive environment.
    • Monitor reimbursement landscape, HTA agencies, products, reports and policies to
    • assess potential risk/opportunities for APCA products. Assess and provide strategic
    • recommendations to the business. Participate with IMC as aligned with Director
    • Utilize project management tools to document and track market access tactical plans
    • and provides regular updates to the appropriate Teams. Responsible for managing
    • the team budget for assigned therapeutic area.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors to maximize working relationships.
    • Assist with analyzing business development opportunities.
    Qualifications
    • University degree in science
    • Minimum 5 years direct experience in Market Access
    • Thorough understanding of the Canadian reimbursement landscape eg. Public,
    • private payers, CADTH, pCODR, INESSS, pCPA and PMPRB
    • Experience in negotiations with public and private insurers
    • Strong practical, quantitative and analytical skills combined with a solid
    • understanding of how to successfully apply pricing & reimbursement / HEOR
    • principles to support APCA
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal),
    • including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to professionals
    • at all levels within APCA
    • Proven project and time management skills
    • Ability to effectively work in teams, collaborate, lead by influence at all levels of the
    • organization and across
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bilingual English/French
