Senior Tax Specialist

Our Client, a reputable mid-size accounting firm, who values their people and an engaging work environment, is looking for an individual with a professional demeanor to join their team to support their clientele as their new Senior Tax Specialist. A successful candidate will be organized & detailed oriented, possess excellent written & oral communication skills, are a demonstrated team player but can also perform independently.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns
- Implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities
- Prepare tax files
- Responsible for tax research and tax projects
- Research tax issues
- Identify and document tax filing positions
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA designation
- Enrolled in CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course
- Familiar with CaseWare, Tax Prep and Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize workloads, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
