    Vice President – Sales and Operations (Manufacturing)

    Fraser Valley, British Columbia

    Our client is a reputable, manufacturing leader that’s been experiencing impressive growth over the last decade; and due to this success are motivated to build to its senior executive management team. Cameron Lappin, of the Lock Search Group, has been retained to assist in in this integral search for a Vice President to lead a key division of their operationThey are looking to add a professional who has a proven past of developing and scaling organizations through innovative North American wide sales and marketing initiatives, as well who possess a track record of success in manufacturing settings, along with financial acumen and business intelligence. Leadership and team management skills are also vital. Our client is proud of the culture that has been built and fostered over decades of effort, and will be looking for an individual who believes strongly in continuing this trend through team development, strong communication and continuous growth planning. 

    Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the expansion and development of the national sales and operations for a key division within the organization. The ideal candidate will have high emotional intelligence and can utilize great communication skills to achieve their stretched goals. Supply Chain, Sales, Production Planning, and Operations will all report to this incoming Vice President.


    • Market Intelligence and Comprehension: Be very close to the markets to analyze and recommend ongoing course of action to maximize focus and results
    • Deep financial acumen and strength working, analyzing, and managing a full P&L – MUST HAVE
    • Business savvy, with operational expertise within a manufacturing setting 
      • Depth with dashboards, and developing key metrics, processes, and infrastructure
    • Level of comfort using Manufacturing ERP Software
    • Experience with setting well positioned prices points, working closely with HR, HSE and the environmental concerns of the operations 
    • Excellent relationship skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic and diverse leadership team – internal stakeholder management is essential
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing market that mandates urgency and adjusting to trends

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business, Commerce, or Operations Management 
      • MBA preferred but not necessary
    • 5-7 Years of Senior Level Management with a focus on profitably scaling organizations through effective and strategic business development, sales and marketing plans
    • Proven track record of success in leadership within a manufacturing setting
    • Ability to communicate, and present at an exceptional level – both written and verbal

    • Strategic mindset, with the ability to innovate and implement
    • Possess exception leadership qualities and the ability to connect with your team at all levels, including with managers to the plant level hourly employees.
      • Must be able to coach and mentor, but also maintaining expectations for results with accountability
    • Demonstrate critical and strategic thinking skills, including decision making skills.
    • Previous experience creating, developing, and executing sales plans that involve budgeting and deep goal setting
