    Associate Director of Marketing - Consumer Goods

    Our client, a leading, fast-growing, and highly desirable consumer packaged goods (CPG) company located in the Leamington area, is looking for a sharp, well-accomplished marketing leader to manage, develop and implement all marketing, communications, advertising, and public relations strategies as the Associate Director of Marketing. This individual will develop goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute a comprehensive and cohesive marketing campaign for all company events. They will design enhancement and development programs to promote the company and its range of produce commodities both online and off, for both B2B and B2C environments. Some marketing goals include maintaining brand integrity and strategically positioning the company as a trusted source for knowledge while establishing and ensuring its status as industry leader. The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring consistent and cohesive messaging that speaks to the company community at large.

    The Associate Director of Marketing will also be responsible for the launch and management of new products, services, and associated brands to meet profitability goals through effective marketing programs. They will be responsible for the training and development of the marketing team, while directing departmental activity to see projects through to completion. They will also work closely with the sales team to develop strategic partnerships, support the company’s value proposition, and develop a B2B and prospecting strategy. They will be responsible for completing various internal communications and completing quarterly and annual goal setting.

    From a requirement perspective, the successful candidate will have a strong track-record of success and achievement within marketing (ideally CPG marketing), is currently at a Manager/Senior Manager/Team Lead level with recent/current experience within marketing (again, ideally CPG marketing), and has some people management experience. A strong knowledge of, and background within, CPG categories that have low shelf-life would be ideal for this role - for instance such categories as protein, dairy, produce, etc. - and of the supply chain implications that come with these categories. The successful candidate will have a high sense of urgency, have fresh and creative ideas and a positive attitude with a strong drive to win. From a technical perspective, this individual will have strong and prudent strategic vision and is data-driven with high analytic aptitude.
