    Our client, a major actor in the fight against COVID-19, is looking for a Quality Control Senior Leader to join their Montreal team. The person will be responsible for providing scientific and technical leadership and effective supervision of a multidisciplinary team of technical officers responsible for the execution and delivery of quality control laboratory work in support of a GMP production plant. 


    Main responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain a laboratory and a system of quality control in a GMP environment. 

    • Ensure the development, implementation and management of the plant quality control system following good manufacturing practices (GMP).

    • Ensure product stability data design, monitoring, reporting and analysis, as well as product quality support.

    • Supervise the work of quality control laboratory technicians and ensure their professional development.

    • Determine objectives, priorities and performance measures for quality control laboratory technicians and establishes training and development plans.

    • Ensure, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Senior Leader and the project leads, the application of GMP standards according to the needs of quality control projects.

    • Produce and manage controlled documentation.

    • Revise and approve internal procedures and those of client projects in order to ensure compliance with GMP requirements and internal standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences (i.e. Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnologies or equivalent).

    • Master’s degree in a related discipline, an asset.

    • Experience in pharmaceuticals

    • Experience in a management position.

    • Significant experience in management of quality control laboratory, development of methods for quality control, documentation, and regulation in the area of GMP biopharmaceuticals

    • Bilingualism in French and English, both oral and written.

    • Excellent adaptability and flexibility.

    • Excellent capacity for analysis, good judgment, and critical skills

    • Capacity to prioritize and execute several projects at the same time and with a minimal supervision.

    • Strong leadership and team spirit

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
