Our client, one of the largest insurance companies in Canada is looking for a Claims Supervisor to join their Halifax team or their Moncton team. The person will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the claims team while ensuring key business goals and customer service standards are met. Dynamic, you will contribute directly to the success of the company thanks to your efforts and your leadership.
Oversee and supervise daily activities of claims team.
Provide superior customer service.
Provide guidance and leadership to claims team.
Organize, distribute, monitor workflow.
Establish priorities to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Coach team on technical competencies.
Conduct regular review of claims files.
Establish and track individual and team performance objectives.
Provide direction and leadership in liability determination, investigation, policy interpretation, settlement negotiations and establishing reserves for claims.
College or university degree, an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive insurance adjuster experience.
Chartered Insurance Professional Designation.
Superior customer service skills.
Excellent communication skills (written & oral).
Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent sense of prioritization, rigorous with deadlines and follow-ups.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team spirit.
Excellent knowledge of automobile, residential, farm and commercial policies.
Excellent knowledge of medical and legal terminology.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Bilingualism (French and English), an asset.
