Due to ongoing success, they recently engaged Lock Search Group to fill an opening for an HR/HSE Manager in Central Alberta. 

    The Role
    As a member of the senior management team, reporting to the Plant Manager, you will support the plant team with Human Resources, Labour Relations and Health & Safety leadership. Your team consists of direct reports in Safety and HR disciplines. You and your team will deploy strategies, manage programs, and serve the population of the plant with the full suite of HR and Health & Safety practices. 

    This includes:
    • Culture leadership 
    • Workforce planning
    • Recruitment, Selection, Onboarding
    • Engagement
    • HRIS management
    • Collective Agreement management
    • Regulatory compliance 
    • Joint Health & Safety Committee leadership
    • Training and development
    • Performance management and progressive discipline
    • Labour relations management
    • Grievance management and grievance prevention
    • Plant tours and plant audits

    What You Bring
    You have relevant experience and education to underpin your ability to excel in this role. Your training is both in Health and Safety, and in Human Resources. You have experience in the food manufacturing sector and are familiar with HACCP.  You have a desire to run an HR/HSE Department delivering excellent service to your client group.  You now live in Central Alberta, or you are willing to do so.
