Our client is a leading and innovative designer and distributor of high-end home products, with operations in over 20 countries. Known for its innovative engineering and contemporary designs, they are looking for a Business Planner to join their Montreal West Island team.
As a Business Planner, you’ll play a central role in sales operations, working closely with major retail partners and internal teams. You’ll support Account Managers in executing strategies for large retail accounts, optimizing inventory, managing assortments, and ensuring data accuracy. Collaborating with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Channel Management, you’ll help drive sales, resolve challenges, and support key business decisions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with internal teams to analyze business challenges and identify actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to uncover, size, and communicate growth opportunities.
- Support business reviews and product line reviews with data-driven insights.
- Oversee product tests, monitor inventory, track in-store execution, and evaluate merchandising efforts.
- Assist with forecasting and replenishment activities.
- Take ownership of purchase order/sales order follow-up internally.
- Lead weekly tracker meetings to keep projects aligned.
- Serve as the main point of contact with retail Buyers, Merchant Planners, and onboarding analysts.
- Handle SKU setup and item onboarding processes.
- Manage and maintain all product information, ensuring smooth onboarding of new items with retail partners.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong background in a business/supply chain analytical-related role.
- Ability to dive deep into details without losing sight of overall business goals.
- Experience preparing and presenting clear, insightful reports.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel and Power BI; knowledge of BI reporting tools and EDI transmissions is an asset.
- Professional proficiency in English (French considered an advantage).
