This role requires travel across Western Canada and close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams, including Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals
  • Deliver accurate, fair, and balanced scientific exchange on disease state, clinical data, and therapeutic landscape
  • Act as the primary field-based medical contact for Medical Affairs within the assigned territory
  • Gather and communicate field intelligence, including insights on clinical practice trends, unmet needs, and competitive landscape
  • Support clinical development activities, including site recommendations, site initiation visits, and ongoing study support
  • Participate in or lead advisory boards at local, regional, and national levels
  • Provide internal and external education on preclinical science, clinical outcomes, and emerging data
  • Represent the organization at medical congresses and scientific meetings, providing post-conference insights
  • Serve as a scientific resource to cross-functional partners while operating within regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrate excellence in territory planning, execution, and collaboration within the broader MSL team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced health degree and significant clinical or industry experience
  • Minimum 1 year of MSL experience, ideally within hematology, oncology, or rare disease
  • Strong ability to interpret, communicate, and contextualize complex scientific and clinical data
  • Proven success managing internal and external stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability
  • Solid understanding of the regulated biopharmaceutical environment
  • Clinical practice experience and rare disease expertise are considered strong assets
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Western Canada

Compensation: $140-$160 base salary + 15-20% bonus

This is a unique opportunity to contribute your scientific expertise to a meaningful Rare Disease portfolio while working collaboratively with leading clinicians and researchers across Western Canada.
