JOB SUMMARY

As National Supply Chain Manager, you will lead and optimize the end-to-end supply chain across Canada, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, information, and products from suppliers to customers, while balancing service levels, cost, inventory, and operational performance.

The role is approximately 70% supply chain leadership and 30% procurement, covering demand and inventory planning, logistics, supplier performance, and sourcing activities. You will report to the Operations and Supply Chain Director and work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Manufacturing to support business growth and drive operational excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Planning & Operations (70%)

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain planning across demand, inventory, and capacity.
  • Drive the S&OP process and ensure alignment across Sales and Operations.
  • Optimize inventory, logistics, and distribution to balance service, cost, and working capital.
  • Monitor key KPIs (OTIF, service levels, inventory turns, cost-to-serve) and drive improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement and support supply chain risk and continuity planning.

Procurement & Supplier Management (30%)

  • Oversee sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and performance management.
  • Ensure supplier performance across cost, quality, and service.
  • Develop strategic supplier partnerships and drive value/cost optimization.
  • Support sourcing strategy and risk mitigation initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop the Supply Chain team.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Manufacturing.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Performance & Risk Management

  • Track and interpret key supply chain metrics such as OTIF, inventory turnover, service levels, and cost-to-serve.
  • Drive performance enhancement initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions, including supplier and external risk factors.
  • Support the development and execution of contingency plans and business continuity frameworks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or procurement functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and working across multiple stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations from planning through to supplier management.
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems and leveraging data for decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement and operational performance.
