Production Site IT Operations Manager (on-site)

This position will play a large role in the start-up phase of this facility and will be based in the facility full time.
The Production Site IT Operations Manager at Red Bull is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing IT operations across the entire site. Acting as the senior IT leader for the production facility, this role is accountable for overseeing local IT infrastructure, supporting day-to-day operations, managing vendor and partner relationships, and delivering site-level support services for all IT users and systems — from office to production environments. In addition, the IT Operations Manager plays a key role in delivering site-specific IT initiatives and projects, collaborating closely with Red Bull’s global IT teams to align on standards, security, and service excellence. This position is essential to maintaining stable IT services, supporting production continuity, and providing leadership to local IT support teams and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Main contact for external IT partners, including daily coordination, operations procedures development, implementation, service sourcing, hosting, and housing to fulfill service delivery.
- Manages the IT infrastructure lifecycle and production site IT security, including local network, server infrastructure, and workplace services, as well as the special-purpose client lifecycle. Controls IT infrastructure daily operations through KPIs and SLAs dashboards.
- Manages projects by utilization of the Red Bull projects management methodology, leveraging requirements engineering and IT PM standards.
- Contributes to the development of local IT services and leverages area IT services, documentation, aligning with Red Bull standards to support local business directions and expectations. Continuously considers possible process improvements and supports them by adhering to the latest Red Bull ITSM standards.
- Act as primary on-stie point of contact and maintains a strong relationship with business owners and key stakeholders.
- Monitoring and control the effort of operations partners during day-to-day support.
- Perform IT security measures in collaboration with the IT Area and Global Security Department and contribute to the mitigation of vulnerabilities on a regular basis.
- Contributes to the development of the annual IT roadmap and strategic initiatives in close collaboration with IT HQ peers and key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and timely execution.
- Support the IT infrastructure implementation for our new production site facility in Chilliwack.
Special Projects:
- Support the implementation of IT Support processes and establish future operations model with special requirements to production site processes.
- Align and implement the IT service catalog for our business departments of our production site facility.
- Performing extensive Hypercare after go-live for all IT and business services.
- Standardize annual failover tests for network and virtualization layers.
- Continuous support of current Security initiatives and onboarding Production IT-Systems into CMDB.
- Extend and proof IT operations setup with all business stakeholders and external partners.
- Establish regular exchange with local business stakeholders to ensure existing and future demands and projects are streamlined.
- Implementation of group management and policies for onboarding of external partners
Qualifications:
- Focused on delivering high-quality support as a core competency and valued aspect.
- Prefer a Degree, diploma, or technical certificate with a focus in IT
- Strong understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate these into IT demands and state of the art IT solutions.
- Proven experience in managing IT services aligned with IT and business strategies.
- Skills in managing site-specific IT demands, prioritizing based on business needs and strategic goals.
- Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure, including setup and maintenance of systems, to support site operations.
- Affinity for IT security and robust understanding of it´s key elements.
- Understanding of ITSM processes and service guidelines, with experience in their application.
- Knowledge of asset management, change management, and problem management processes.
- Experience in quality assurance and service monitoring.
- Ability to manage small and midsize projects as project manager across multiple business departments and stakeholders.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to – $125,000 annually. The actual base salary for this position may depend on various factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and work location. At Red Bull, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package.
