JOB PURPOSE
The Regional Business Manager is responsible for driving regional sales performance by achieving or exceeding sales objectives, recruitment, leading & developing a high-performing team of Key Account Managers, and executing national strategies at the regional level. This role provides leadership, coaching, and capability development to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective customer engagement across the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Sales Objectives
• Achieves or exceeds all assigned regional sales objectives
• Translates national strategy into effective regional execution by developing and implementing regional business plans aligned with company priorities
• Contributes regional insights, performance data, and customer trends to national strategic planning and reviews
• Collaborates with cross-functional team members in the creation of regional territory budgets and bonus plans that motivate to exceed regional performance objectives
• Supports the development of the regional Key Account Manager target lists with focus on high priority accounts
• Strengthens the customer base by guiding Key Account Managers in effective hospital account targeting, relationship building, and identification of opportunities for growth within target accounts
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with regional key stakeholders
• Supports formulary access and strategic initiatives within hospital and key institutional accounts
• Identifies opportunities for growth, performance improvement, and operational efficiency within the region
Sales Force Leadership, Development & Training
• Accountable for building sales capability across the region through coaching, performance management, and active support of sales training initiatives, ensuring all team members are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for sustained success
• Recruits, selects, and onboards hospital Key Account Managers in alignment with organizational
standards and regional needs
• Actively supports, reinforces, and delivers national and regional sales training initiatives, including
product training, selling skills, account management, and compliance training
• Conducts regular field visits to assess selling effectiveness, brand execution, and account management practices providing actionable feedback and follow-up plans
• Addresses performance issues promptly, fairly, and in accordance with company policies and
employment legislation
• Develops individualized development plans for each Key Account Manager, addressing strengths,
development opportunities, and career progression
• Plans and leads effective regional and national sales meetings to reinforce strategy, share best
practices, and build team engagement
• Inspires, motivates and fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability and commercial excellence within the team
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Establishes strong, collaborative relationships with internal partners including Marketing, Sales
Excellence, Patient Access, Finance and Operations, Human Resources, and Medical Affairs to support regional execution
• Ensures clear, timely, and consistent communication with regional team members, Regional Sales
Manager peers, and internal stakeholders
Policies, Procedures & Compliance
• Demonstrate the Pharmacosmos Values and Way of Working and ensures compliance with all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct, as well as applicable Canadian laws and pharmaceutical industry regulations, including Health Canada guidelines, ethical standards, data privacy legislation, and health and safety requirements
• Maintains the highest standards of integrity, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance in all activities
• Ensures compliance with expense policies and monitors regional spend in alignment with approved budgets
• Addresses employee policy or compliance violations promptly and appropriately
• Adheres to all administrative and reporting requirements as directed by the Director, Sales and
Commercial Excellence and Pharmacosmos Canada Inc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or related field required
• Advanced degree is an asset.
Experience:
• Significant experience in hospital key account management settings including P&T submissions
• 6+ years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• 2+ years in a people leadership role
• Experience in Women’s Health, Gastroenterology, Haematology, and/or Nephrology an asset
• Proven track record of launching specialty care products and driving commercial success.
• Familiarity with Canadian healthcare landscape, reimbursement pathways, and compliance standards.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Travel required – approximately 60% of the time
• Mandatory to have active driver’s license
• Languages: English required, French required for the Quebec East territory
