Senior Clinical Specialist – Electrophysiology (Western Canada)

Calgary or Edmonton, AB

This is an exciting opportunity to support cutting-edge technologies in electrophysiology (EP), helping physicians and clinical teams deliver advanced therapies for patients with heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Clinical Specialist – Electrophysiology will serve as a key clinical and technical expert, providing hands-on support, education, and training to physicians, EP lab staff, and internal teams. This field-based role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and effective use of advanced EP mapping and ablation technologies, while also contributing to strategic growth across Western Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide in-procedure clinical support within cardiac cath/EP labs across assigned hospitals
  • Deliver expert training and education on EP mapping systems and ablation technologies
  • Build strong relationships with physicians, clinicians, and hospital stakeholders to support adoption and utilization
  • Identify customer needs and deliver tailored clinical solutions and product guidance
  • Support and execute regional strategic plans in collaboration with sales and cross-functional teams
  • Lead product demonstrations, presentations, and educational sessions
  • Assist with clinical trials, including protocol education and site support
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of electrophysiology technologies, therapies, and industry trends
  • Provide timely reporting and insights following clinical support activities
  • Travel regularly within Western Canada to support accounts and business objectives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or healthcare diploma (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience with 3D cardiac mapping systems OR 10+ years in medical device sales or clinical electrophysiology
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate complex clinical concepts clearly
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel within the territory
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Western Canada

We also welcome high-potential clinical professionals with strong cardiac foundations, including:

  • Cardiac Technologists or Registered Nurses with electrophysiology, cardiology, or cath lab experience
  • Graduates of accredited Cardiac Technology programs, including Mohawk College and British Columbia Institute of Technology
  • Clinically sharp, intellectually curious individuals with a strong ability to learn complex technologies and translate them into practical, real-world application in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification
  • Experience in atrial fibrillation, cardiac mapping, or structural heart procedures
  • Hands-on experience with 3D cardiac mapping systems
