Associate Director of Sales - Consumer Goods
Our client, a leading, fast-growing, and highly desirable consumer packaged goods (CPG) company located in the Leamington area, is looking for a sharp, well-accomplished sales leader to manage all aspects of sales to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction and exceed business goals. This newly created position will report directly to an Executive Director of Sales and Marketing and will lead a very sharp and high-functioning team of 10+ salespeople. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing processes associated with the end-to-end sales process.
This individual will be responsible for conceptualizing as well as executing sales strategies, identifying opportunities to enhance overall revenue generation through movement of available inventory, optimizing movement of products, lead generation, optimizing processes associated with the end-to-end sales process, and ensuring customer support and satisfaction. He/she will be responsible for and reporting on all key sales metrics.
The Associate Director of Sales will be required to engage, collaborate with and influence business partners to affect implementation of or necessary changes to key work streams. Key drivers of sales results are inventory management to optimize depletion and revenue, logistics economics, portfolio profitability and accounts receivable. Consequently, key business partners include Global Supply, Operations, Logistics, Finance and Marketing. Other responsibilities include the analysis of and reporting on commodity movement, portfolio profitability and receivables. Support of sales initiatives, events and other duties as assigned will be required from time to time.
Success in this role requires an unwavering commitment to quality, teamwork and collaboration, to enhance the ability of the company to deliver on the company's promise to customers. The Associate Director of Sales will also assist in the training and development of all Sales staff to ensure a constant learning environment.
From a requirement perspective, the successful candidate will have a strong track-record of success and achievement within CPG sales, is currently at a Senior Manager/Team Lead/Director level with recent/current experience within CPG and has developed and lead high-performing teams. A strong knowledge of, and background within, CPG categories that have low shelf-life is absolutely required for this role - for instance such categories as protein, dairy, produce, etc. - and of the supply chain implications that come with these categories. The successful candidate will have a high sense of urgency, have fresh ideas and a positive attitude with a strong drive to win. From a technical perspective, this individual will have strong and prudent strategic vision and is data-driven with high analytic aptitude.
