Location: Ontario-based

Salary Range: $85,000-$120,000 + bonus potential

Before you apply...please note: Traditional consumer packaged goods brand marketing experience (ideally within food/beverage) is absolutely mandatory for this role. In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have current/very recent brand marketing experience at either an Assistant Brand/Marketing Manager or Brand/Marketing Manager level within a traditional consumer packaged goods manufacturer (again, ideally within food/beverage). We appreciate your interest, however, only those candidates that fit this qualification will be considered.

This a predominantly REMOTE work-from-home role will require the successful candidate to be based in Ontario. There will be occasions where the successful candidate will have to attend team/customer meetings at an office based in the Greater Toronto Area, however, this will not be frequent.

Overview

A growing Canadian consumer packaged goods organization is seeking a Marketing Manager to support the expansion of a branded food portfolio across U.S. retail channels. Reporting into senior commercial leadership within Canada, this role will focus on trade marketing, shopper marketing, and consumer activation initiatives within the grocery and club channel landscape specifically in the U.S. market - truly a unique opportunity to gain incredibly rare (and very marketable) experience!

NOTE: Traditional consumer packaged goods brand marketing experience (ideally within food/beverage) is absolutely required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute trade and channel marketing programs across major U.S. retail accounts, including grocery, club, mass, natural, and e-commerce channels.
  • Support sales and broker teams with insights, promotional tools, and customer-facing marketing initiatives.
  • Lead shopper marketing activations, digital campaigns, social media initiatives, and online promotional programs.
  • Coordinate sampling events, merchandising programs, POS materials, and in-store promotional activities.
  • Support packaging development, product launches, and marketing-related production initiatives.
  • Manage trade marketing budgets, evaluate promotional effectiveness, and analyze channel performance data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, category management, revenue management, and product development teams.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and customer-facing events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience within consumer packaged goods.
  • Some experience required working with major U.S. grocery and retail channels, ideally within food or beverage categories.
  • Strong communication, presentation, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and within the U.S. as required.
