National Accounts & Trade Management
(Greater Toronto Area, ON – Hybrid)
About the Role
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a National Accounts & Trade Management professional to drive strategic partnerships with national accounts and optimize trade operations.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening commercial relationships, ensuring compliance, and executing trade agreements that align with both global strategies and Canadian market needs. You’ll collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless product access and supply chain efficiency.
Forecasting & Commercial Planning
- Consolidate district forecasts into a unified national demand plan.
- Lead forecast reviews with Sales Managers to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Collaborate with Commercial Ops & Finance for strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Contribute to commercial strategy to strengthen leadership in the ADHD market.
- Build trust with KOLs and key customers to solidify company credibility.
Trade Management & Channel Strategy
- Develop & execute trade strategies across wholesalers, distributors, and pharmacy networks.
- Align trade initiatives with brand objectives and compliance.
- Support pricing, trade terms, and incentive programs.
Wholesaler Management
- Serve as primary commercial contact for key wholesalers.
- Negotiate trade agreements, terms, and service levels.
- Monitor KPIs (inventory, order accuracy, service, sell-through).
- Lead joint business planning to drive alignment and execution.
Product Allocation & Availability
- Oversee national product allocation and distribution.
- Partner with Sales & Commercial Ops to address availability challenges.
- Provide input to inventory planning cycles.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Act as liaison between Sales, Supply, and Commercial Ops.
- Represent the affiliate in regional/global trade & demand forums.
- Partner with District Sales Managers to adapt to local dynamics.
Pharmacy Management
- Lead national & regional pharmacy account management.
- Strengthen formulary access, product placement, and visibility.
- Support patient access initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.
- Analyze pharmacy performance to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in trade management, national accounts, or commercial operations in pharma/life sciences.
- Strong track record in negotiation, forecasting, and account management.
- Familiarity with pricing, contracting, distribution, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
