Be at the intersection of innovation, clinical education, and customer engagement.
Are you an experienced marketing professional who thrives at the crossroads of strategy and execution? Do you want to shape the future of surgical eye care while working closely with physicians, sales teams, and product innovators?
We are looking for a Product Manager – Surgical. This role blends brand strategy with field-based education programs. The product manager owns the marketing plans and brings them to life through peer-to-peer training initiatives that support real clinical adoption.
If you are someone who enjoys seeing their work drive impact in both boardrooms and operating rooms—this is the role for you.
The role is hybrid with 2 days/week in our offices in Oakville, Ontario. This position reports to the Director of Marketing, Surgical.
What You'll Do
- Lead marketing strategy and execution for key products in our surgical portfolio.
- Develop digital and direct marketing campaigns, messaging, sales tools, and go-to-market plans that drive product uptake.
- Collaborate with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Operations to bring integrated marketing plans to life.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and managing interactions with relevant external agencies to ensure the successful execution of brand strategies.
- Own and execute customer education initiatives in partnership with the sales team, including training programs that connect experienced clinicians with their peers to drive product adoption.
- Take ownership of peer-to-peer clinical training programs—coordinating logistics, managing communications, and ensuring each preceptorship is professionally delivered, valued by participants, and aligned with commercial goals.
- Maintain an updated understanding of the ophthalmology market. Periodically attend medical conferences and work collaboratively with sales reps to meet customers in hospital ORs and clinics.
- Track performance, generate insights, and continuously improve how we engage the field.
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of product marketing experience in medical devices, life sciences, or pharmaceuticals.
- Direct experience working in the Canadian healthcare environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and communicate with a range of stakeholders—from sales reps to surgeons.
- A strategic mindset with a get-it-done attitude. You're as comfortable building a campaign plan as you are booking a training site or creating a slide deck.
- Strong project management and organizational skills—you can juggle multiple programs without dropping the ball.
- Experience with CRM (e.g., Veeva) and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot) is an asset.
Thank you in advance for your interest; only individuals deemed to have the skill set and experience to fit the role will be contacted.
