Technical Field Services Manager – HVAC Sector
Greater Vancouver, BC
Our client is a fast-growing wholesale distributor from the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning space, servicing both the Residential and Commercial Contractor market. Through their OEM supplier partnerships, a need has grown to add a highly motivated Technical Field Services Manager (HVAC) to partner directly with these OEM vendor partners, so they can become experts in the products/parts/equipment they sell. The primary function of the position is to provide technical support, and training, to their contractor clients and their employees alike; while also supporting the sales process as a technical product expert to aid in closing challenging projects.
The successful candidate will be able to utilize exceptional communication & presentation skills to deliver training and product information to end users, contractors/technicians, and to internal employee stakeholders at all levels within their branch infrastructure. This opportunity is designed, and perfect, for proven HVAC Technicians, or HVAC Service Managers, that are motivated to move away from the tools, but still allows them to utilize their education, training and experience fittingly into a more customer-facing technical role.
Additional Responsibilities include:

- Establish strong relationships with customers and vendors
- Develop training, tests, and assignments for your coworkers on the product platforms
- Work with existing onboarding material and recommend alterations where information is lacking and help collaborate on updates

- Assist customers by phone, via email, and onsite with troubleshooting issues, product inquiries and technical service-related questions
- Participate in professional organizations, conferences, networking events, and tradeshows
- Support the roll-out of new product lines as they develop
- Provide specs, installation, and operations materials to customers and help support engineering team
- Join sales calls with Outside Sales Representatives to support technical inquiries and provide product specific insights/recommendations to help overcome roadblocks
- Travel as needed to support clients and branch teams across Western Canada (10-20%)
