Territory Account Manager

Our Halifax-based recruitment firm is working with a highly successful building supplies company, that’s looking to bring on a Territory Account Manager to support new and existing business throughout parts of Nova Scotia. Our client has an impressive reputation in delivering an exceptional customer experience, serving clients across the Maritimes.
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven sales professional with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Someone who excels at identifying opportunities, building lasting customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that drive profitable growth. The Territory Account Manager is both a strategic "hunter" and a dependable "farmer," with an understanding of the construction and building materials industry. A natural team player, who collaborates effectively across departments to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory
- Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and self-generated leads
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and key industry contacts
- Deliver tailored, solution-based selling that meets customer needs and drives value
- Conduct customer meetings and job site visits to understand project requirements
- Prepare accurate and timely quotes and presentations ensuring superior service throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of skills and experience
- 5+ years of outside sales or territory management experience
- Proven success in B2B sales within building materials, construction, or related industries
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth through strategic selling and customer focus
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong initiative, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze data, manage KPIs, and make informed business decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM systems
- Knowledge of Epicor and building envelope systems is considered an asset, but not required
- Valid driver's license
